GOD’S NAMES TO UPLIFT US ON OUR GREATNESS JOURNEY
When we know Our God’s names we know the nature or attributes of the God who lives in Us. The bible says in Daniel11:32b “The people who know their God shall be strong and shall carry out great exploits. This is according to the new king james version. So when we know our God it gives us strength and we are able to do great things that glorify our God and uplift us all on our greatness journey. Knowing the nature & names of God leading to our great exploits also emphasize that when we develop a strong relationship with Our God, we are empowered to do great things
The first divine name or nature of God or attribute of God we will look at today is Jehovah Elshaddai- Our All-sufficient God or Our God of more than enough or Our Almighty God. Our Almighty God has the ability to do more than enough, exceedingly abundantly above all we can ever think ask or imagine through the power that works in us. Unto Our Almighty God be all the glory. Ephesians 3:20-21 says this: Now unto God who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we can ever think, ask or imagine according to the power that works in us, unto God be the glory through Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever. Amen
Another divine nature and name of God & attribute of God that can uplift us on our greatness journey is Jehovah Nissi- The Lord our Victory or the Lord our banner. 1Cor15:57 tells us that but thanks be to Our God who gives us victory through Our Lord Christ Jesus. The Lord our victory wins all battles for us on our greatness journey and makes us victors or like Romans says more than conquerors
The next name of God, nature of God or attribute of the God who lives in Us is Jehovah Jireh meaning the Lord our Great Provider. Philippians 4:19 tells us that God provides all our needs according to His riches in Christ Jesus. On our greatness journey we have divine providence and we will not be in lack because Our Lord who is our great provider provides all that we need on our greatness journey
In order to uplift ourselves on our greatness journey, we can also rely on the attribute of God, or nature of God or name of God addressed as Jehovah Yahweh which means I AM THAT I AM. This means Our God exists as all that we need God to be for Us. This can be found in Exodus 3:14 where God told Moses I AM WHO I AM. So if you are in a situation where you need God to be your protection, God’s says I Am that I am, if you need defense, God says I am that I am, God is what ever you need Him to be. And This I AM THAT I AM attribute of God can also be applied to our desire for greatness. God is our greatness because God’s name is Jehovah Yaweh : I AM that I Am . God is Existent in all of our heart’s desires
On our greatness journey we move in serenity, calmness & Peace, which leads us to look at our next quality of God, or next nature of God, or next attribute of God, or next name of God which is Jehovah Shalom- The Lord our peace. Mark 4:39 says “Peace be still” And the wind ceased and there was great calm. So on our greatness journey, when there are turbulent situations and the wind of overwhelming circumstances blowing at us, We can always rely on Jehovah Shalom, the Lord our Peace to bring great calm to every wind that may blow at us as we declare Peace be still in Mark 4:39
In addition to being our Peace as Jehovah Shalom, God is also Our Jehovah Shammah, which means the Lord is present. The God that lives in us is not just fulfilled in the future but very present in our now moment. Psalms 46:1B states that Our God is our ever present help even in times of trouble so God’s infinite or unending Presence is always with us on our greatness journey. We can always count on God’s presence no matter the situation that we may be in
Also in the first verse of the 23rd Psalm Our God reveals Himself to Us as Jehovah Rohi, which means The Lord Our shepherd. King David affirms in Psalm 23 : 1 which says the Lord is My shepherd , I shall not want. So on our greatness journey Jehovah Rohi which is The Lord Our shepherd, will be with us and lead us to still waters and green pastures, and even ensure that our cup runs over as a shepherd does for his sheep
And even when it looks like you are contending with a lot of external forces on your journey of greatness, remember that the God who brings us into greatness is also called Jehovah Sabaoth , which means the Lord of Hosts. This also means Our Lord of Multitudes or Our Lord the Host of the armies of heaven. So we are never alone.
And just to let you know on our journey of greatness, God is also very concerned about our perfect health. Jehovah Rapha, the Lord our healer ensures that we are in perfect health to fully enjoy the greatness that God brings us into
If some of us could remember, just this Tuesday, during our early bird meeting, our brother, Barata mentioned the need for upliftment and restoration for our greatness. This leads us to our last but one name of God – The Lord our restoration- Jehovah Ghomolah. Joel 2:25 confirms our Lord as a God of restoration
Finally Our God is Alpha & Omega. Which means Our God is where we start from and where we bring to a close. Our God is our beginning and our end. Our God is our author and our finisher of our faith. Revelations 1:8 concludes who God is in us & through Us. “I am the Alpha and the omega, says Our Lord God. One who is, one who was and one who is to Come the Almighty. Amen
1. We sincerely pray that all the names of God that we have been reminded of will go a long way to uplift us on our greatness journey as we strengthen our relationship with God by getting to know more of God’s qualities, God’s attributes & God’s nature through God’s names. We pray to thank God for this message.
2. Our opening scripture tells us that the people who know their God shall be strong and carry out great exploits Daniel 11:32B. So even us we have gotten to know God more , may we be empowered to do great exploits.
3. God has revealed Himself to Us in so many names today: Our God of more than enough, the lord our victory, the lord our great provider, The I am that I am, The Lord our Peace, the lord our shepherd, the lord our healer, the lord our restoration and so many more. May all these qualities & attributes of our God radiate /demonstrates in all aspects of lives on our greatness journey.
4. Jehovah Elshaddai for example means our Almighty God, Our All sufficient God, Our God of more than enough. We pray that God brings us to a level of greatness that is more than enough
5. We bless this day with all the qualities of God we have been reminded of. We bless this day with the divine providence of Jehovah Jireh. We bless this day with the Peace of Jehovah shalom. We pray that the greatness of God embraces us all today as God’s attributes shines out of us now & always. Amen
